Ready to get started with your training? GREAT! We are, too. The Longsnouts niche is that we love to have F-U-N with our dogs. We're massive fans of real-life training for real world living.

We do things a little differently around here! There are a handful of things to know:

- Rolling Admissions: means you can jump in when you'd like, no need to wait for a 'start date.' The exceptions are Confident Puppy and Calm + Connection.

- Play Card Option: to attend our classes, we use a 5-class "punch card" system. Purchase the Play Card and you can attend any of our classes (except Confident Puppy or Calm + Connection). Once registered, you'll be added to a weekly logistic email...just RSVP and let us know what classes you'd like to attend. Play Card is valid 90 days from purchase, unless discussed with instructor.

- Single Class: during the height of our class season, all classes (except Confident Puppy or Calm + Connection) are available in singles, which means you can try one out without needing to commit (but we'll always welcome you back!)

We are giddy with excitement at what's coming your way as soon as the weather is more consistently...less awful. All the classes listed will be offered at least 1-2 times per month, many at varying levels to accommodate schedules and abilities. Check the calendar for specific days and times!

All Things Sniffy: Classes, Sniff-Scurscions & Drop-Ins

🕵️‍♂️🐾 Using the 4 Pillars of Nosework, we’ll dive into games and activities that’ll supercharge your pup’s natural hunt drive, boost their confidence, spark independence, and sharpen their problem-solving skills. All while letting them do what they do best: SNIFF! Whether your dog is a senior sweetheart, a shy soul, or a spicy bean, this is for every type of pup. And the best part? You can use whatever gets their tail wagging—food, scents, toys, or even your stinky socks! Parkour, All Levels

We’ll turn everyday objects, props, and even the great outdoors into a playground for your pup. From hopping onto benches to weaving through trees, your dog will learn FUNctional skills that’ll boost their body awareness, confidence, and problem-solving abilities. Polite Walking, Level 1 + Level 2

Spring is finally springing, and you know what that means—time to hit the trails, sidewalks, and parks with your furry co-pilot! 🌸🐕 But after months of hibernating through arctic temps, let’s be real: your leash-walking skills might be a little… rusty. If your walks are more “drag-me-down-the-street” than “loose-leash dreamy,” we’ve got your back! Join us to master our 3-step approach to transforming your walks from chaotic to calm. Let’s dust off those leash manners and turn your walks from chaotic to chill. Level 1: Say goodbye to arm workouts (aka leash pulling) and hello to peaceful, enjoyable strolls. We’ll introduce a number of tools to use while you’re learning to enjoy the journey together. Recall Reliability: Levels 1, 2 + 3

Join us to discover the secrets of building a foolproof recall that’ll make your dog come running like you're better than sliced bread. No experience? No problem! We’ll break it down step by step, creating solid foundation skills. Just bring your A-game, running shoes, some CEO-level snacks & a long line. Level 1: Is your dog the type to completely ghost you the second a squirrel, leaf, or anything mildly exciting enters the picture? 🐿️🍂 No shame—this is the perfect starting point! Urban Manners

Ready to team up with your soon-to-be-chill pup and conquer the hustle and bustle of downtown like a pro? 🏙️🐕 This class is your golden ticket to turning your dog into the ultimate urban sidekick! Whether it’s mastering the art of gradual introductions to city sights and sounds, or learning to be one of the gang waiting to cross at a stoplight, we’ve got all the skills covered. Perfect for dogs who already have a few basic manners under their collar. If you’re wondering whether your dog is ready to rock downtown life, just ask—we’re here to help! Monthly Meetups: Pack Walks & Group Chillax sessions

MONTHLY MEETUPS & URBAN PACK WALKS - they're coming back! Our goal is to host one on the last Tuesday evening of each month! Fantastic practice for all levels of dogs; we're happy to give you the space or time you need. Are you working towards your AKC Fit Dog? Awesome, we are, too! RSVPs to info@longsnouts.com, so we can send you the meeting locations and any necessary details. Weather issues? We will walk if the weather is above freezing (32 F) and *not* raining or heavy snow. RSVPs are required; there is a 10 person/dog limit. You don not have to be a Longsnouts client to join, however, this is not a "class." Pack Walks are a place to practice and Hannah will likely have one of her #PermaDogs in attendance for their own practice. RSVP here. - Stay tuned for spring schedule!
General Class Notes

Our class sizes are small - typically no more than 10 human/canine pairs - and we encourage all current COVID-19 and canine respiratory disease safety protocols. NOTE: Our general rule of thumb for being outside is no inclement weather and temps need to be 'above freezing' (32 F) for winter and that the heat/humidity is below 90F for summer. Ask questions here. Reminder: you have 90 days to use your Play Card, unless you chat with the Team.
