CURRENTLY ON THE DOCKET:

In-person classes are LIVE! Typically, Longsnouts prefers to teach classes outside - it's where we are most often with our dogs, so it makes sense. Winter in Michigan can be unpredictable, however, so we're moving (mostly) inside for the next couple months. Yep! We're partnering with Dexter Community Education to teach some classes. (Direct link for info is here.)

BUT we will still be hosting some 'regular' Longsnouts classes outside and at Dancing Willow Farms. A little confusing, right? Yeah, it's a little hiccupy as we figure it all out and we appreciate your patience. Everything is posted below...

Our class sizes are small - typically no more than 10 human/canine pairs - and we encourage all current COVID-19 safety protocols.

NOTE:  Our general rule of thumb for being outside is no inclement weather and temps need to be 'above freezing' (32 F) for winter and that the heat/humidity is below 90F for summer.

:: NEW CLASS SCHEDULE ::

We do things a little differently around here! There are 3 main Longsnouts options:

- Rolling Admissions: means you can jump in when you'd like, no need to wait for a 'start date'

- Play Card Option: we have a 5-class "punch card" where you can try on different styles of classes, just RSVP and let us know when you're coming. Play Card is valid 90 days from purchase, unless discussed with instructor.

- Single Class: our Barn Hunt and Farm Walk classes are available in singles, which means you can try one out without needing to commit (but we'll always welcome you back!)

WEDNESDAYS:

Confident Puppy  @ 6:15pm Beginning January 11t**

Y'all know we LOVE puppies around here! We focus on the best ways to teach confidence, manners, and excellent citizens. Join us in our inaugural puppy class, partnering with Dexter Community Education, where we'll be teaching inside one of their schools in a super cool space! Registration is here.

:: NEW :: Beat the Winter Blues  @ 7:30pm Beginning January 11th **

Feeling the doldrums of post-holiday fun? Want to do something with your dog that gives you a taste of several different  fun activities? This sampler-style class is for you! We'll work on everything from manners, settling in public spaces, tricks/parkour, nosework, enrichment and more! We're partnering with Dexter Community Education, where we'll be teaching inside one of their schools in a super cool space! Registration is here.

SATURDAYS:

Building Blocks  @ 12:30pm Beginning January 14th **

We will primarily be focusing on polite walking and Urban Manners-type skills for the winter months. NOTE: we may be adding a Canine Good Citizen class via Dexter CommEd, so let us know if you're interested. (Due to it's outside structure, class is weather-dependent.)

Ask about our Play Card option...access to training is always our goal!

Ready to register? Excellent! Head here.

SUNDAYS:

Nosework @ 10:00am. Beginning January 15th **

Does your doggo love to use her nose? Do you sometimes feel like your dog 'needs a job'? Join us for some scenting fun, where you'll both learn to sniff out (detection-style!) a scent of your choice.

Barn Hunt @ 11:30am Beginning January 15th ** +

NEW this fall, we're working on a rotating theme! Every 3 weeks, you'll have one of the following: 'regular' Barn Hunt class, Crazy 8s (yes, 8 rats!), or Tunnels & Climbs. Check out the calendar to see what's scheduled! Single class purchase available!

:: NEW :: Farm "Walks" @ 1:00pm Beginning January 15th ** +

The Longsnouts gang has been noodling on this idea for a while: how to help dogs get some sniff-sperience for decompression, practice recalls and/or polite greetings with dog friends, or maybe some parallel walking, working towards (curated?) play time. All of those are options - or you can spend time walking and practicing being THEMOSTEXCITING thing for your dog (versus the environment). (Due to it's outside structure, class is weather-dependent.)

Single class purchase available!

Ask about our Play Card option...access to training is always our goal!

URBAN PACK WALKS - they're coming back!

Our goal is to host one per month - we're looking at the calendar and setting some dates! Free for all to attend, as long as you're willing to follow our guidelines. Fantastic practice for all levels of dogs; we're happy to give you the space or time you need.

Stay tuned for the schedule! Weather issues? We will walk if the weather is above freezing (32 F) and *not* raining or heavy snow. RSVPs are required; there is a 10 person/dog limit. You don not have to be a Longsnouts client to join, however, this is not a "class." Pack Walks are a place to practice and Hannah will likely have one of her #PermaDogs in attendance for their own practice. RSVP here.

** These classes are rolling admission and Play Card eligible, so you're welcome to join whenever you'd like! Reminder: you have 90 days to use your Play Card, unless you chat with the Team.
